y = x^2+5x-3 .... (1) y-x = 2 or y = x + 2 .... (2) subtitute (2) to (1), x^2+5x-3 = x + 2 x^2+5x-3 -x - 2 = 0 x^2 + 4x - 5 = 0 (x+5)(x-1) = 0 zeros, take x+5 = 0, so x1=-5 and x-1 =0, so x2 =1 from (2) : y = x + 2 so, y1 = -5 + 2 = -3 and y2 = 1 + 2 = 3 the solution are {(-5,-3),(1,3)}
