I am very confused of what my geometry teacher is asking for in the portfolio assignment. Can anyone help give me clearer instructions and guide me through this first task. Any help you can give is very much appreciated. Thank you :)

• Task 1: Begin by reviewing the basic constructions you learned in a previous unit. Then complete each construction on a separate piece of paper using a straightedge and compass. Also provide detailed, step-bystep instructions describing how to complete each construction. These instructions need to be specific enough that another person could follow them and successfully complete the construction. The four basic constructions you learned previously are listed below: • congruent segments • congruent angles • perpendicular bisector • angle bisector

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

do u have compass and straight edge ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just did that portfolio! Ok so you have to write a step by step instruction on how to make all four of those things (ex. congruent segments) and you have to draw a picture using your step by step instructions. I hope that helped! :)

Ah! I see, so ilet me get this straight. Draw picture with steps on how to do each, and that is all? lol @ganeshie8 yes i do have a compass and straighedge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! I wrote my steps on one paper and then on another I drew my segments and such. You could also draw the first step and write what you did and continue on with each step

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

first take them out and use them and get a feel of 1) copying angles, 2) copying segments 3) constructing angle bisectors and 4) constructing segment bisectors then, u can list out steps u did in creating them.

Thank you! I would also give you a best response medal but I just found out it wont let me give you both one! But both of you really cleared stuff up for me! Thank you and I very much grateful your help! :)
