I will give what I feel... It is from your figure and from ur question... since AB and CD are parallel.....they are equally spaced at all points and at anytime. When You cut with a line let us say EF, as shown in Figure 1|dw:1352290175877:dw| the total angle is 180... now you have divided and some angles are formed.. let it be x .. so other angle is obviously 180-x... now another line CD I am adding in parallel to AB|dw:1|dw:1352290703982:dw|xtended the line EF (along it path as it won't change the line) so as to cut CD too Now let y be the angle that formed.. Hope you are clear till this part
