see both limks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AriPotta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

links* tnx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both of the kind people whove decided to help and save me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the blue and yellow sheets go with the nets activity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do the links work ari?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do the links work,bigboss?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@omnomnom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Omniscience

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please, I beg you.

OpenStudy (omnomnom):

Okay what is this? O.O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, go to the second link first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see the image onslide 3.

OpenStudy (omnomnom):

Lol i did and its confusing .. and i have to use the bathrrooom brb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me with that first? and ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you see the third image on thhe second link?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ari?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@gaara438125

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@2yoututu11

OpenStudy (aripotta):

1. d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tnx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, pet me write that down ari dont leave

OpenStudy (anonymous):

done. ok.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

that was for that white paper after the yellow one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the third pic on the second link yes?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

second pic on the second link

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh cube with side length of three meters?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and dont leave me pleasee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one with carl?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o ok

OpenStudy (aripotta):

2. 25.133 and yes, that's the one with carl

OpenStudy (aripotta):

m^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. ari, if u help me with them all, ill b so grateful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im desperate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i write it down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill try number three dont leave tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plzq

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do u find the surface area of a triangular prism?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ugh. can you explain?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

use the net. find the areas of each shape

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm. let me try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each shape? you mean each drawing?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

like this. so we just found part of the surface area. and since there's two triangles with those exact measurements, we can multiply it by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me see the file

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooohhhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just the shape the thing is named after is what u look at!

OpenStudy (aripotta):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and u find the area of that shape!

OpenStudy (aripotta):

you find the area of each shape the shape was MADE out of

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm..let me look again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next find area of rectangle?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

there's three rectangles, so find the area of each. after you do that, add up all the areas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.let me try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um the area of the middle one would be 5?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

how'd you get 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5.0 x 1.0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean the one on the left

OpenStudy (aripotta):

area of left rectangle = 1 x 0.5

OpenStudy (aripotta):

which is 0.5....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. srry,i used a calc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, lemme see the next one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.75 middle?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u look smart to me

OpenStudy (aripotta):

lol thanks. i was kind of joking :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.9375 last? and lol

OpenStudy (aripotta):

no :/ what did you do to get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.75 times 1.25

OpenStudy (aripotta):

you should have done 1.25 times 0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why .05? u know how .75 is area of middle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i times that with 1.25

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yes, it's the area of the middle, but why would you multiply the area of the middle by the length of the other?? makes no sense. you're trying to find the area of the right rectangle so you multiply the sides which are 1.25 and 0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.625

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yes. so add them all up, what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mm, letme see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just the numbers i wrote or all the measurements?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yes

OpenStudy (aripotta):

all the areas you calculated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the ones with the triangle, the one on ur screenshot, and the rectangles only, yes?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

the two triangles, and the three rectangles...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. brb:) both triangles = .375,yes?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

both triangles = 0.75

OpenStudy (aripotta):

one triangle = 0.375

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

77.75?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

no..

OpenStudy (aripotta):

that isn't even one of the choices lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i added then all up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes sorry im dumb

OpenStudy (aripotta):

obviously you did it wrong lol. add these up: 0.375, 0.375, 0.5, 0.75, and 0.625

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.265!!!
