Plug -1 into wherever you see a c: G(-1)=4(-1)^4 + (-1)^2 - 3(-1) - 5 (-1)^ an even power like 2, 4, 6 will be a postive 1 (-1)^ an odd power like 1, 3, 5 will be a negative 1
