can someone tell me how my closing sentence sounds

While street gangs today have highly intricate organizational structures, the fundamental structures in place highly resemble that of the tribal structures in which gangs have become the new modern day tribe.

I think it sounds good but it also sounds a bit wordy but you might want it that way. I think that even thought it is wordy it sounds good and you shouldnt change it.
