HELLLPPPPPP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 What is the value of y? http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=vsdy75&s=5 2 4 16 20

OpenStudy (radar):

Sure is a lot of info provided, but I need more. I appears that both angles CBD and EBC would equal (8y+4) degrees. Angle ABD is given as 10 degrees. I am not seeing an important relationship between the angle ABD and the two equal angles. Call on someone.

OpenStudy (radar):

@03225186213, can you help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IG=GH 3x=5x-10 x=5

OpenStudy (radar):

How will that help finding y?

OpenStudy (radar):

This perplexes me!

OpenStudy (radar):

@kingMAN was their additional info provided for this problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let mIGB=y in tri igb sum of interrior angles =180 90+y+8y+4=180 9y=86

OpenStudy (radar):

@03225186213 are you seeing a relation between x and y that I do not see?

OpenStudy (radar):

assigning y to the angle igb would be kind of arbitrary as the value of y has been assigned in defining angles IBG and HBG. The solution does not agree with the options available. I am getting a headache lol.

OpenStudy (radar):

Angle IGB is equal to: 180-90-(8y+4) degrees or 90-(8y+4) degrees or (86-8y) degrees. This is not exactly y

OpenStudy (radar):

@kingMAN,are you sure they are not wanting the value of x?

OpenStudy (radar):

Good luck with this, I gotta move on.
