does pressure decrease across a pipe of constant diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since it's diameter is constant, the pressure doesn't change.

If the pressure were not constant, then there would be a net flow in the direction of decreasing pressure. Since there is no flow across the pipe, there can be pressure difference across the pipe. Since there is flow along the pipe, we can infer there must be a pressure difference along the pipe.
