Solve: −5(x − 2) = 15 1 −3.4 −5 −1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 2 (Multiple Choice Worth 1 points) What is the first step in solving the equation −4x − 16 = 20? Multiply both sides of the equation by 4. Divide both sides of the equation by −16. Subtract 16 from both sides of the equation. Add 16 to both sides of the equation.
help me please
-5(x - 2) = 15 due to the distributive property it can also be scene like this: (-5 * x) + (-5 * -2) = 15 then you combine like terms
the first one would be -1. all you have to do is use the order of operations. and the second one would be to subtract 16 from both sides.
thank u
