An eagle is perched on the apex of a cliff, staring at a rabbit at an angle of depression of 54º.
If the cliff is 175 feet high, how far away is the rabbit from the base of the cliff?

175/cos54 = x ... i dont have a calculator to finish it :P

you know that the total angles in a triangle is 180 right?

so to get the 3rd angle, u add 90 to 54 and subtract it from 180

cos theta= adjacent/hypotenus. like Chloe did, ur x = hypotenus. then u se the 3rd angle to get the base= distance away from d cliff
