Explain, in complete sentences, the relationship between the equations of parallel lines please!!
same slope
Parallel lines will have the same slope, make the same angles when lines interest both of them, and always stay the same distance apart from each other.
Parallel lines have the same slope(m) and different y-intercept(b). Parallel lines do not intersect, therefore systems of equation with 2 parallel line have no solutions.
Though the answers are already sufficiently correct, I am going to answer this question with the knowledge I have concluded when I was in freshman high school. I might be mistaken in this area of knowledge, but I would appreciate if a mathematician can correct me. PARALLEL LINES are lines of same slope, but with different coordinates, which means that they cannot intersect. Suppose that there are two lines of the same slope and the of same coordinates. Although these lines can be said to be equal or the same, but since they were initially identified as two lines, means that they cannot be considered as parallel lines, because they intersect infinitely. It is a little confusing, but for some reason it makes sense in my evolved primate puny brain.
I had not realized that @rrivera5754 has fundamentally given the same answer as I. The difference is that her definition is more concise.
hahahaha.! @nincompoop it's all good :)
Yeah. When I was typing my response, the answers that I saw were only that from @myko and @lukebluefive
haha oh I see :) It's totes fine:)
