DEF is a right triangle. A. True B. False (Picture below.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you try using the Pythagorean Thereom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False. |dw:1352329866882:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually @nicolebears there are some right triangles that you will see that don't have the square in the corner

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if you add 25, 27, and 48 they don't equal 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why would they equal 90?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right triangle equal 90 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would have to use the Law of Cosine because you are given all 3 lengths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are the side lengths though and you don't just add them up to get 90 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@marcoduuuh have you learned Law of Cosine?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Noo! I didn't!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer would be True right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kaylific

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm im not sure i did the law of cosine and i got that it equaled 135 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahhh. D:

OpenStudy (bakonloverk):

i think its true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was false. Thanks everyone! (:
