x^(√log x)=10^8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^sqrt(log x)=10^8 x^log*x^1/2=1068(using properties of log) taking log both sides (log x ^1/2)*(log x)= 10 log 8 (1/2)* (log X )^2= 8 2* 1/2)* 1og X =8 x= e^8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in 2 nd line 10^8 not 1068

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think that's a property of logs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log X^n=n* log X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it's just x^(sqrt(logx)). the log is in the exponent, not the base

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look it doesnt matter where the log is u can use it !!! read some standard text on math u will understand..
