I am SO confused. Can someone help me with centroids and orthocenters? draw a large obtuse scalene triangle. find its orthocenter.
I got that one. I think... I'm still confurse on stuff like this.. find the coordinates of centroid P of triange ABC A (-1,2) B (5,6) C (5,-2)
Centroids are the center point of the midpoint of a triangle. For instance: |dw:1352336287969:dw| First, find the midpoint for each of the triangle's sides, then find the shortest line that connects them all.
|dw:1352336294596:dw| this is what i got- i just copied it from the book. Im usually pretty good at math, i just don't get this!!!
What you copied from the book is an example of an orthocenter, since the lines are at right angles to the sides and intersect the points of the triangle.
why do these lines go outside the triangle?|dw:1352336524532:dw|
