did i use the word "shoulder" correctly in the phrase "shouldering funds"?

is the tense use also correct here--> "....never should've had the need to worry about these things"

Needed not had the need, i personally believe makes more sense.

And yes i believe u used shouldered correctly though I cannot be sure of anything other than the english side.
