State a conjunction or disjunction equivalent to the open sentence |a 7| 5.

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

Is the first question missing an operator? I'm assuming it should be either |a + 7| or |a - 7|. I've solved for both. /\ is "and" and represents a conjunction. \/ is "or" and represents a disjunction. 1. |a - 7| ≤ 5 a ≤ 12 /\ a ≥ 2 or |a + 7| ≤ 5 a ≥ -12 /\ a ≤ -2 2. |n + 6| ≥ 3 n ≤ -9 \/ n ≥ -3
