ok you need to find DE.. then use the parallel property
OpenStudy (raden):
let the length of AB = x
because triangle AEC similar with BED, so
AC/AE = BD/BE
7/(x+10) = 6/10
6(x+10) = 7*10
6x+60=70
6x=70-60
6x=10
x=10/6=5/3= ....? (it can convert to mix fraction or decimal)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how do i find it
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then again appy pythagores theorem to by cosidering the length as x

OpenStudy (anonymous):
consider the triangle DBE first
OpenStudy (anonymous):
find DE using pythagores theorem
OpenStudy (raden):
@Rosh007, DBE is not a right triangle but acute triangle
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ow,,,, sorry.. that is right,,....
