help

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

a 48 kg person is sled-riding down a hill that is 4.6m high. starting at the top with the speed of 3.1m/s the sled reaces down with the speed of 7.6m/s determine the distance (Ef-E0) between the final and initial total mechanical energy

Sorry, gotta log off, I can look tomorrow. But i'm not sure exactly what the question is asking for? got a diagram or scan?

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

no

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

but the answer is -1.0*10^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it just asking for the difference in kinetic energy at the top and at the bottom? That is 1156J. Is the 7.6m/s the speed at the bottom?
