OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to do a two column proofs for each question so i have to prove how it is gaven is the truth! given lines AB = lines AD and cd = ea prove that angle ABC is = to angle ADE

any results? anyone? please?

Ever heard about the theory of similar triangles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that they are perpendicular triangles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They have similar sides and therefore similar angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so thats the second statement that they are similar traingles what about the next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What kind of proof do you require, written in English, or written AB like algebraic, or any way it doesn't matter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll write one in symbols, it is more concise. Try to follow it, so you can do the others; remember the ratio of the sides are equal. \[\frac{ AD }{ AE }=\frac{ AB }{ AC }=\frac{ DE }{ BC }\] It follows that\[\Delta ABC = \Delta ADE\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i kinda got the first what do u think about the second problem its a little diffrent any help on it?
