What is the value of (sin30)(cos30)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know that sin 30 is 1/2 but i dont know where to go from there

OpenStudy (nubeer):

have you found cos30?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well its a decimal though i need it in a fraction form, so yea i do have it, do i just multiple 1/2 with the decimal?

OpenStudy (nubeer):

yes. cos 30 is i think [(3)^1/2]/2 so just multiply

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ that means to the power of?

OpenStudy (nubeer):

yes its power..1/2 means square root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See, Sin 30 \[=\frac12\] and cos 30 \[= \frac{\sqrt3}2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and from there i just multiply both ratios?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanx a lot!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
