Limited government you don't want to give the gov all the power so spilling it helps :) in the election you might have noticed how it wasn't just about the president but the house and senate to :) Its all small pieces of the pie, the president a bigger part than a senator but the senator has some power to, and then you the voter also has power seeing your vote counts to the collage which counts towards the main vote. :) Actually this is what republicans are worried about now in the last election that the government is taking way to much power from the people, were as democrats want the government to have more power, in the way i mean this by the way are through things like obama care , but that's a debate for a whole another time :)
