Stomach acid is pretty strong. It's got a pH of anywhere from 1.5 to 3.5. That's a strong acid.

But there's something in the stomach that protects us from our own stomach acid.

I'll give you a hint: It's sticky, slimy, and it drips from our noses, when we're sick with a cold.
