If a car is travelling at 30m/s then the driver decides to do an emergency stop. If his reaction time is 1.2s. Calculate the stopping distance.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[v= u + at\] v=0 Since the Vehicle stops from here find the acceleration and use \[V^2-U^2= 2as\] to find the distance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, I think it should be, summing up the distance travelled during the reaction time (1.2s), and the distance of which the car is decelerating...
