hello can anyone explain that wht is the dimensions ? i mean i don't understand 1d,2d,etc

it tells abt the Co-ordinate Plane 1 d means u have only 1 axis and in 2d u have 2 axis (x-axis and y axis)

Dimensions can be simply said as measures i.e how many min possible ways to measure something. For example draw a line that has 1 dimension (it has length only nothing more than that). Then take any paper or some sheet it has 2-dimensions namely Length and height (you can measure the size of paper by 2-D at simple level. Here paper thickness is neglected since it is very thin if you consider it thickness then it will be in 3D). Then if you consider something like TV or computer it has 3 dimensions like Length, Height and breath. In next level all those measurements will be aided using some reference axis or lines (say x axis, y axis and z axis). This is basic definition but it will be elaborated depends upon the respective application and fields like 3D movies or 3D sounds)
