solve w+p=15 for either variable then substitute. w = 15-p

(2.26(15-p) + 1.96p)/15 = 2.18
p = 4


Check:
p = 4
w = 11

4+11 = 15

11*2.26 = 24.86
4*1.96=7.84

24.86+7.84 = 32.70/15 = 2.18 per lb
