Can anyone recommend me a good college textbook for Calculus 3? Give me the name, edition, author. Also, what subject is after Calculus 3? Differential Equations or Linear Algebra?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After Calc 3 comes differential equations also known as Calc 4. We are using Stewarts 7E Multivariable Calc textbook, but I can't say that it explains much

Thanks for the help. Then what's after Differential Equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anything really. Personally, I'm taking Differential Geometry next semester, but most higher level classes with calc prereqs only require calc 3, not really calc 4 unless you are doing engineering or physics

Then is Linear Algebra a good choice after Differential Equations? I want to major in Physics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Linear algebra is typically taken between Calc 2 and Calc 3. I took BC calc in highschool and had calculus fresh in my mind, so I choose to take Calc 3 this first semester. Next semester I'm taking Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and a graduate class in Differential Geometry. Really depends how you want to approach it

Thanks.
