Find the zeros of the quadratic function by factoring. What are the x-intercepts of the graph of the function? g(x)=3x^2-x-2 I'm having trouble factoring this.

OpenStudy (kira_yamato):

|dw:1352603902907:dw| Arrows = Multiply g(x) = (3x+2)(x-1)

3*-2 = -6 , what two numbers multiplied together give u -6 and add up (sum) to -1.

OpenStudy (kira_yamato):

You cross multiply like in the diagram. So it's 3x * (-1) = -3x and x * 2 = 2x. So when you add these 2 you get -x

I see, thanks.
