Simplify completely

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x^2-4x+4 }{x^2+10x+25 }\times \frac{ x+5 }{x^2+3x-10}\]

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Try to factorise the expressions in the numerator and denominator. Can u plz tell me vat u get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 2 and 5?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Hmm no. Let me show u one. \(x^2-4x+4\) \(=x^2-2x-2x+4\) \(=x(x-2)-2(x-2)\) \(=(x-2)(x-2)\) Similarly can u factorise \(x^2+3x-10\) and \(x^2+10x+25\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lemme try the denominator, one moment

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

ha k:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x^2+10x+25= x^2-5x-5x+25=x(x-5).... i get lost after that. is this \right?\]

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

\(x^2+10x+25\) \(=x^2+5x+5x+25\) \(=x(x+5)+5(x+5)\) \(=(x+5)(x+5)\)

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Can u factorize \(x^2+3x-10\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, sorry, i dont understand what i would do with the 3

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

can u plz tell me two numbers whose sum is 3 and product is -10?
