OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Please help...Verify that the mean-value theorem is satisfied for f(x)=sqrt(49-x^2) on the interval [-7,5] and find all values of c in this interval that satisfy the conclusion of the theorem.

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

I found the dervative f"(x) and f'(c)=sqrt(6)/6

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Where do I go from here?

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Do I set f'(x)=sqrt(6)/6 and solve for x? Therefore finding the value of c? Or must I do something different because f'(x) is undefined at -7
