Does the equation y=20,000(0.95)x represent growth or decay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zordoloom I think it growth..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's also decay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What the difference between growth and decay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are multiplying the exponential by a number that is less than 1, it would be decay. If the number is greater than 1, it is growth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if it less that 1 is decay and greater than 1 it growth that makes sense..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. the number you multiply by x. But of course x has to be exponential.
