Okay so I think by solving for theta youll know what angle the ladder has to be to go over the fence. then you need to solve for the hypotunuse of the larger triangle.|dw:1352702237665:dw|

I think the answer is 17.89 ft. Do you have the aswer in the back of the book? to verify.

So i figured that if all these triangles are the same all you have to do is multiply the hypotunus by 2 to get the lenght of the ladder. thats all it got.|dw:1352703118934:dw|
