. The primary colors are yellow, blue, and red. In simplest form, what fraction of the bag is made up of primary colors?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How much of everything is in the bag?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there's 53 marbles in the bag

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but we need to know how many of each color? Are there marbles in the bag other than y, b, and r?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We can get a fraction unless it says how many of each.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cant *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes there's green (9) orange (13) brown (10) blue (12) red(5) and yellow (7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So thats 24 out of 53? Do y know how to reduce that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I divide right?

OpenStudy (nubeer):

its 56 btw..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that but i need to know how to simplify them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, she said 53. Sorry. And you have to fin something common to divide by.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If its 24 over 56 you can clearly divide by 2, maybe more. So start with 2 and see if theres anything else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay you guys thank for the help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not very good with math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its okay! Im not either, but there are certain things I am good at. Good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will and you too
