Suppose y varies directly with x, and y = 14 when x = –4. What is the value of y when x = –6? (1 point) –21 10 18 21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = kx 14 = k*-4 solve for k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k=10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or is it k=18?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show me how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, i didnt plug in the -6. i continued with the -4. so i would write out the formula, cancel out 14, then subtract fourteen from -6? and get -21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did i do that right?
