is a diamond a mineral and why

OpenStudy (frostbite):

A diamond is a special arangement of carbon atoms and belong to the group of native element minerals (i think). Now i don't know the definition for minerals so i just use the wiki: 1.Naturally occurring 2.Stable at room temperature 3.Represented by a chemical formula 4.Usually abiogenic 5.Ordered atomic arrangement All of the criterias is true for the diamond so I would say that could be an argument and conclution to say that a diamond is a mineral.
