What's the angle of this vector: v = -2i - 8j? I tried the tangent of -2/-8 but I get 14 degrees. It's wrong! :(

isn't it atan(y/x) . I assume i is x and j is y, so you want atan(-8/-2)

You are right! I meant arctan, I was doing arctan(-2/-8) instead of (-8/-2). Thanks ! Haha, I guess i've been studying too much in such little time. :) Medal!

also, you would be in the 3rd quadrant. so it would be 180 degrees + 76 (rounded)
