I need help on finding x and y intercepts on my homework
To get x-intercept put y=0 in the equation to get y-intercept put x=0 in the equation
ok thanks but i dont get how to find x and y intercept on a graph
its the x-intercept where graph cuts the x-axis its the y-intercept where graph cuts the y-axis
ok so can you help me with this A bamboo plant is growing 1 foot per day. when you first measure it, it is 4ft tall a). write an equation to describe the height in y, in feet, of bamboo plant x-days after you measure it b).what is the y-intercept c). what is the meaning of the y-intercept in this problem
a) 1 foot per day tall, that is slope or 'rate of growth' if you multiply it number of days 'x', u get total height, but initially it was 4ft tall, so you have to add that. the equation becomes y= 4x+4 got this part ?
ok
b) to get y-intercept put x=0 what u get when u put x=0 in y=4x+4 ?
i got 4
that is correct y-intercept. C) here y-intercept will tell you initial height of bamboo tree
thank you so much im going to need you to be my new tutor
i have another problem
new question, new post.
1.)4y+5x+ 2y-3x=16 2.)2x =y=10x-1
sorry i told you the wrong ones hold let me get the right ones
in new post, close this first, please
ok
