Geometry help please :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (ucreategames):

You are correct, but I don't know about HL either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok :) Thanks! I've never heard "allow HL" before! I think me teacher's on narcotics. haha!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HL := "hypotenuse - leg" It's a special case of SSA.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know... but how do you "allow the use of HL"??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By using it and saying it's a valid argument.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, is there an answer to that? Or is saying, -- It is congruent by HL. And the legs are SP and SR. Enough?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HL congruence uses the corresponding hypotenuses and a pair of corresponding congruent legs to prove congruence. The legs are not SP and SR; those are the hypotenuses of the right triangles. The hypotenuse is always opposite the right angle.
