I honestly haven't read this book, but I generally understand the story as well as a few minor details. I'd say D... however, he ignores this and has his crew cover their ears so they don't fall into the ocean because of the Sirens, and he has them tie him up so he won't be able to fall into the ocean... he's able to hear the song of the sirens and survive: a task no one was able to accomplish.
