Hmmm they would say that electrons are hold together by pixie dust.... anyway Linus Pauling discovered what a chemical bond truely was and how they acted in diffrent situations... the nobel commity said it quite good: "for his research into the nature of the chemical bond and its application to the elucidation of the structure of complex substances"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you a lot!!!

OpenStudy (frostbite):

If you want it more simplifyed please let me know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (frostbite):

hehe well i just told you in one sentence what he did... anyway. He came with the concept of orbital hybridisation (I can't explain that in esay terms sorry) and worked out the valence bond theory.
