write the equation in rectangular coordinates (x,y) r = cos t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know rcos = x so i multiplied r on both sides. |dw:1352851237477:dw| but i dunno how to solve this. can someone help me please?

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

you are almost there - think of how \(r^2\) is related to x and y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it. x^2 + y^2, haha :)

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

thats it - well done! :)
