4. Simplify the expression: (3-i)-(2+6i) First, take that minus sign in the middle and distribute it to the (2+6i) You will get 3 - i -2 - 6i Combine like terms. (the i's can combine) So combine the 3 and the -2 to get 1 Combine the -i and the -6i to get -7i Together, you have 1 - 7i
