I am confused by Yahoo's solution above, since it appears that zero must equal the stuff on the right, making n = 0. If n = 0, then the whole thing is trivial... you've just determined x = x, which doesn't help you at all. I can't explain the steps, but I believe the solution is supposed to be multiples of pi... like x = pi, 2pi, 3pi, 4pi, etc... you would want to write that with a variable, like x = n * pi However, notice that your problem ONLY wants the solution inside the interval 0 to 2pi.
