PLEASE HELP!!!! REALLY NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS!(: Use a graphing calculator to solve the equation -3 cos t =1 in the interval from 0 to 2p. Round to the nearest hundredth.
Refer to the plots in the attachment.
Thanks for the help, but I have to type my answer in a text box and I dont have any way of explaining that in a text box. Can you help me with that?
From the second and third plots, t = 1.91 and t = 4.37 rounded to the nearest 1/100th respectively. By the way, the plot lines in the last two plots have very little curvature because of the magnification. Does the information above answer your concerns?
The plots were generated by a computer program, Mathematica 8 Home Edition.
Does that mean that t is 1.91 or is it 4.37 when you solve the equation?
