I was rethinking it because in my notes it says: The federal court of original jurisdiction is the U.S. District Court. Each state has at least one federal trial court and there are currently 94 total. The federal district courts do not split into separate courts for criminal and civil trials, though the Congress has created some specialized courts for issues like disputes over income taxes. The majority of federal cases are settled in these courts.
