first find the equation of the lines: yellow line: y-int=2, m=-1 --> y=mx+b --> y=-x+2 gray line: y-int=2, m=-3/1 --> y=-3x+2 for both the graphs it is shaded down towards the x-axis and below therefore they are both going to be y < mx+b the lines are solid and that gives you the equal part ==> \[y \le -3x+2\] \[y \le -x+2\]
