Suppose you take a survey of all of the people in your town. What would you expect the relationship between a person’s age and the number of pets he or she has to be? negative correlation positive correlation no correlation not enough information because the trend line is unclear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe you need to attach a graph for this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no theres no graph but can you help me with this one Find the mean and range. 2619 23 39 31 34 23 25 mean = 27.5; range = 21 mean = 28.7; range = 20 mean = 27.5; range = 20 mean = 26; range = 21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then for the first line i would say not enough information. for this other question, do you know how to find mean and range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is 26 and 19 or 2619? i assume 26 and 19... okay to find mean: add up all the numbers then divide by how many numbers there are. there are 8 numbers, so add them all up and divide by 8 to get the mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"mean" is another word for average if you were not aware :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

26 19 and how would i find the range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the range: take the largest number and subtract the smallest number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks umm can you help me with some more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure can you start a new question its much easier to answer and see everything just tag me in it with"@studentc14"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks
