For problem 2e, I'm not really sure how to go about solving this. It says "What is the effective instantaneous body velocity of the tool frame given the solution from part (c)?" I don't know how to apply this
So you have the velocity of a certain point and you want the velocity of another point rigidly attached to the first (i.e. a fixed relationship between the 2 points). What does that sound like?
I think I know what you are trying to get me to remember but off the top of my head I can't. This sounds like something that we had to do in a past homework if I remember correctly
I'm looking back at homework 7 and for problem 3 we had frame B and frame C attached to the same rigid body. We were given the body velocity of frame B and asked to find the body velocity of frame C. Is this related to how I would do this problem?
It is exactly how you do this problem. The adjoint of a xi. You even wrote a function to compute this for you in a past homework.
Ok I believe I understand now. Thanks for your help!
Not a problem
