Write an equation in standard form for a line with an x intercept off 3 and a y intercept of 6 PLEASE HELP!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-2x+6

Thank you! may I ask how you got the first part of the answer? Y= -2x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you have two points (3,0) and (0,6) so you solve for the slope by subtracting (6-0)/(0-3) which is -2

Oh okay, thank you so much!
