Identify the set as finite or infinite. {2, 3, 4, . . ., 8}
what do you think ?!
infinite
why ?
because it is placed in a one-to-one
what ?! do you see the difference beetween {2,4,6,8,10,12,14.,.,..,..} and {2,4..,8} ??
i see now they continue on even tho there are ..... still follows the same manner
yeaah ! they both do ! but the difference ?!
the number stops at 8 for one on side
true ! and the first one ?!
ummm
the first one contiunes on
kk ! a finite set is when you can count the number of its elements ! for example A={1,2,3} is finite...it contains exactly three integers ! B={1,2,3,4,5,...............won't stop ...534545......} is infinite
if it contains no elements we call it empty set ! so know what do you think ? finite or infinite ?
infinite
because it does not start with 3 integers and like you said the .... dont ever stop
re-type the set ....please !
{2, 3, 4, . . ., 8}
what you typed is exactly the same as {2,3,4,5,6,7,8}...can you count how many integers there ?!
7
you are thinking that it is finite ?
It's not about what am I thinking...I'm trying to make you understand... Sorry ! I have to go now !
thanks for the help
