I would say you should start by dividing this circle up into different percentages. so 2x+x+3x =1 or if you want degrees: 2x+x+3x =360 then you can find out what percentage the arc is of the whole circle.

like ok i have an answer down and i got 13.67 but it says its inccorect when i put it in?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ik x=60 degrees and i set it up in a proportion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for x 2x+ x = 180 3x= 180 x = 60 so the angle of arc ab is 60(2) = 120 using the equation of arc length n/360(2piR) = arc length so it is 120/360(2pi(r)) = 28.61 solve for r r is around 13.66 the circumference is 2pir so its 2pi(13.66) so your answer is around 85.83

w0www so sorry i got that answer its just i made it so complicated im sorry thanks for helping me out i got right answer now! ty

So yes you got x=60 degrees right. now if x = 60 degrees. then the length that arc AB is taking up is 120 degrees or 1/3 of the circle. so since you know that arc AB is 1/3 of the circle you can then multiply that length by 3 to find the circumference.
